“Our universitywide strategy will outline a coherent vision, with clear plans and goals for our future. As we proceed, we need to hear from everyone with a stake in Rutgers’ success.”

“Our universitywide strategy will outline a coherent vision, with clear plans and goals for our future. As we proceed, we need to hear from everyone with a stake in Rutgers’ success.”
— Robert L. Barchi, President
Under the leadership of President Robert L. Barchi, Rutgers is engaged in a thoughtful, universitywide effort to develop a strategic plan that defines its overall direction and aspirations for the next 10 years. Every part of the university community has been providing input through surveys, town hall meetings, advisory groups, faculty forums, departmental discussions, and interviews. As the process moves toward the creation of a strategy, the community will be informed and consulted through various means, including this dedicated website.
After presenting an interim report in June, President Barchi intends to submit for Board of Governors approval in fall 2013 a document that expresses a clear vision and strategy for Rutgers’ future and reflects the input of faculty, students, staff, alumni, retirees, and governing board members, as well as state and local leaders.
